Course Description:

This 2-day course will teach students the history behind using momentum in crash reconstruction.  The “rules” and challenges when using the momentum equation will be addressed in detail.  Students will learn a new single equation approach that offers a more flexible, and easier, method to solve for momentum.  In addition, students will also learn how to create an Excel spreadsheet for this equation that offers sensitivity ranges.

Needed Equipment:

  • Laptop
  • Scientific Calculator
  • Pencil and scratch paper

Instructors:
